ACT Goals

The following goals were established by ACT to guide its functioning:

  • Introduce persons to and provide training in the use of case studies and other dialogical teaching methods;
  • Encourage the writing and publishing of new cases;
  • Disseminate information about and resources for case teaching;
  • Improve the overall quality of the teaching/learning process.

In pursuit of these goals, ACT :

  • Published a Journal, a periodic Newsletter and maintained a case bibliography;
  • Sponsored one or more teaching institutes a year;
  • Reviewed and selected new case studies for inclusion in the permanent case collection;
  • Offered members selected case books at reduced cost;
  • Provided assistance with case information and selection.
